Dear Virgo, we kick the month of August off with the Full Moon in Aquarius becoming exact at 2:31 pm EST, on the 1st. This happens in your area of work, health and day-to-day routines. Please don’t push yourself to exhaustion these days. Do the work without exceeding your limits. Acknowledge and celebrate the progress you’ve made at work and/or in your health practices lately, no matter how big or small that progress might look like, recognize it as a step forward. Give yourself a breather during this Full Moon. Make sure that at the end of the day you make time to relax and have a little bit of fun, without thinking about what’s next on your plate. Your body will thank you for it.

Venus will be retrograde throughout all of the month of August and into the first days of September. This is an event that happens once every 18 months, and brings with it a deeper understanding to what we want from our relationships, how our current relationships are flowing and how open we are to intimacy. This 40 day transit is happening in Leo in the deepest area of your chart, where your unconscious pains lie, and where you have a chance to let go of what no longer works in order to come deeper into yourself. It’s a beautiful time to explore your fears surrounding pleasure, closeness and love. You don’t have to do this process alone, find comfort in those friends that are there for you no matter what. It may also be a good time to start therapy if you feel like it becomes too much for you emotionally.

On the 16th, we have the New Moon in Leo, highlighting this Venus retrograde process. This will be an especially intense Moon, as it will also be conjunct Black Moon Lilith and square Uranus. Those parts of you that society or your family and community don’t make space for, are crying out to be acknowledged. They are not dark, they are not evil, they are not wrong. You are not wrong. Look at what you hold deep within, even if it comes with pain and uncomfort. Be fierce about accepting yourself. Find safe spaces where you can air these things out without being judged. Where you can be held for all of your complexity.

Welcome Virgo season! Things have been intense, and they will continue to be for a little longer, but the Sun will begin to bring you back to life during the month of your birthday. You’ve most likely been in a very introverted mood lately, give yourself the chance to get out there, without forgetting to take good care of your energy and your inner and emotional needs. Mercury also goes retrograde here in Virgo on the same day, the 23rd, so make sure to be selective with what you put out there, how you do it, and with the social settings that you’re being invited into.

On the 27th, Mars shifts from Virgo to Libra into your area of resources and sense of self-worth. Bring your attention to your needs and your frustrations regarding what’s owed to you, be it material, emotional, or having to do with respect and recognition. Taking action to defend yourself isn’t always a viable option, but sometimes it’s just a matter of daring to face your fears. How can you better defend your time, your energy levels and what’s yours?

On the next day, Uranus will be going into its yearly retrograde phase for the next 5 months. Pay attention to the new adventures that are calling out to you. Follow your curiosity to learn new things, even if they seem too unconventional to you. Follow your intuition. Your inner wisdom is getting stronger.

We end the month of August with the Full Moon in the sign of Pisces becoming exact at 9:35 pm EST, on the 30th. This happens in your area of one-on-one relationships and committed partnerships, inviting you to connect with your ability to trust. How are your trust levels? Do you trust too little? Too much? Do you trust the ones you love? It’s a beautiful time to explore if any inability to trust stems from valid reasons within your current relationships, or from past traumas that have nothing to do with those bonds. Try and loosen up where there’s actual space for it.

The north node in Aries and the south node in Libra have been settling into your area of intimacy and shared resources and your area of self-worth and personal resources, respectively. How do you feel you might be gaining new direction by defying the scarcity narratives that tend to block your access to abundance?
