Skymates, in honor of retrograde and eclipse season, KTZ is taking a break from offering daily scopes. We’re resting, regenerating, and re-imagining. That’s what retrograde and eclipse season is all about, and as astrologers, it’s important that we practice what we preach. We’ll still share weekly/monthly scopes with you during this break. Subscribe to KTZ’s email newsletter (KnowTheZodiac.com/newsletter) to know when daily scopes will be back. You can also order my book, Signs & Skymates, as well as KTZ’s digital products on our site to deepen your astro knowledge. Remember: you are your own astrologer. KTZ astrologers Adela, Nisha, and myself are here as guides, but the answers have always existed within you. Thanks for the love and support.

Key themes: organizing your finances, becoming creative about bringing more beauty into your life, just being yourself, sensuality and flirtiness, being daring in your creative and romantic life, facing your conflicts, being patient, staying present amidst all of the noise, finding ways to renew your energy, rethinking your path ahead
Dear Virgo, the month of October begins by pulling focus towards your accounts. Take the time to sort things out and get things clear and in order when it comes to your finances, as Mercury will be transiting Libra in your area of resources. But as Libra and the second house are ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, you’ll be called to keep your accounts in order while indulging in your desire for beauty. Go all out if you can, or find ways to keep it simple, like adding an inspiring quote or poem to your wall or desk, or getting a cutting from a friend and growing a plant in that empty corner. Allow Mercury to spark your creativity!
On the 8th, Venus is entering your sign, where it will be during the next month, inspiring you to be you. This is an invitation to love and accept yourself just as you are. I promise people will recognize and flatter the heck out of you! Allow yourself to become more playful and flirty. Let that sensual and freaky side that you’re always hiding show.
Pluto is going direct on the 10th, where it will make its last stretch through Capricorn before heading back into Aquarius in January. Please remember that life is too short to play it safe. If you know you want to be more daring in your creative projects, then please stop holding yourself back. When it comes to romance, it’ll be a good time to refresh your non-negotiables, and to connect with the pleasures you wish to pursue.
On the 12th, Mars will enter its home sign of Scorpio, helping us all get deep and serious about the pursuit of our goals. Conflicts may arise within your intimate space or around you, and it wouldn’t be wise to ignore it. Be with what’s going on, be with the process, even when it’s not a particularly pleasant experience. Stop delaying confrontations that are bound to happen sooner or later. Dare to dig deeper.
Eclipse Season is back, as we welcome the New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse in Libra becoming exact at 1:55 pm on the 14th. This Eclipse comes with an encouraging energy, it wants you to recognize your talents, to understand how to best work with your resources, and to ask for a just retribution for your efforts. There is a great opportunity to heal from the feelings of unworthiness left from past or current situations where your talents or your own person weren’t valued and respected or all that it is. Know your worth, surround yourself by those that see and honor it, set boundaries, say no when it’s needed. I know we live in a world where we can’t always afford to do this, so for the moments when you can’t, make sure to cultivate that earthy Virgo magic that knows how to protect and renew its own energy.
We welcome Scorpio Season, with Mercury entering Scorpio on the 22nd, followed by the Sun on the 23rd. Be patient with what is required of you. It may be hard to get a handle on your precious time and energy during this next month. Even if your calendar is too full, make sure to schedule an escape from your regular programming whenever you get the chance. Finding spaces and activities to renew your energy will be very important.
The month of October comes to an end with the second Eclipse of the Season, the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, becoming exact at 4:24 pm on the 28th. There’s something about your path that is being revealed. It may be time to rethink how you want to move forward. It may be time to readjust the philosophies that sustain your way of thinking. Flashes of insight are bound to come through. Your perspective will be going through a shift. Things that seemed distant, aren’t anymore, and therefore don’t scare you as much. Worries that have been weighing you down may lift, as you begin to be able to see things in a whole new light.
Ruling Planet: Mercury, the Planet of Communication
Where You’ll Find Them: Organizing their closet, setting up a lunch date weeks in advance, studying in a cozy library.
What They Avoid: Messy environments, gossip, nosy people.
Virgo, the sixth sign of the zodiac, is symbolized by the Virgin, but it doesn’t mean that Virgo’s a goody-two-shoes. Instead, it symbolizes the pure energy of the earthy Virgo’s soul. Virgo is the sign that wants to strip down, take away all the fluff, and go back to the basics.
The minimalist of the zodiac, many Virgos seek to live and exist in a clean, clear, stress-free environment. The ironic part of that desire is that Virgos often stress themselves out by trying to restore order to their lives. Some Virgos are contrarians, so even though they seek order, their lives may always appear to be a mess. Virgo is often focused on the small details of life that everyone else misses. They find peace in routine and structure, and they love feeling efficient, useful and in control. Expectation vs. reality is something they have to keep in mind in order to maintain their sanity.
Professionally, Virgos work well alone as well as in a team, and they often get the job done better than everyone else (but they still beat themselves up about how they could have done an even better job). Virgo is a perfectionist, and while this can lead to them creating phenomenal works of art, it can also lead to them paralyzing themselves and never putting their work out there out of fear of failure or ridicule.
Virgos may suffer from low self-esteem due to the super high standards they place on themselves. This can also lead to them being consumed with nervousness, which is why Virgo would benefit from introducing meditation into their daily routine, as well as gentle exercises and frequent time spent outdoors, simply breathing and letting go.
As friends, Virgos may at first come off as cold or unfeeling, when in reality they are just cautious of who they let into their intimate circle. If you become one of those lucky people, you’ll see the wild, untamed Virgo come out. This side of Virgo is unpredictable and exciting. Virgo isn’t always a gentle soul, watching quietly from the background. They can be reckless and fearless, going out all night and talking to new people left and right. They just have to be in a certain mood and around the right people in order to activate that side. Ultimately, Virgo seeks friends who won’t judge them and with whom they can feel comfortable being their most authentic self.
In love, Virgos are often depicted as being prudes, but once again, it’s just a self-defense mechanism. In fact, Virgo can be one of the most sexual signs of the zodiac when they merge with the right person. Virgo prefers cultivating a deep intellectual connection with someone first and then falling in love with their body. Once that happens, you can unlock a very sensual and romantic side of Virgo.
Virgo will intellectualize their feelings and put their emotions through a filter before expressing themselves, and that may sometimes make their partner feel like Virgo isn’t as emotionally attached to the relationship. That’s not necessarily the case — it’s just that Virgo has a specific way of showing love, mostly through the actions they do. They pay attention to the small things their lover needs, and while they can be nitpickey and critical of their partner, it always comes from a place of love and wanting the best for them. Virgo is all about self and mutual improvement, and they want a lover who’s unafraid of embarking on such a journey of evolution.
