VirgoAugust 22 - September 21
What do you need to heal? What do you want to release? Slow down. Connect with your sorrows and the things that afflict you. Work on letting go what’s impeding your growth, Virgo, as the Moon will still be in Leo Friday through Saturday. The tense connection between Mars and Pluto becomes exact on Friday, and may bring power struggles that threaten your joy and your pleasure. Don’t get too deep with the things that aren’t worth the hassle. Instead go deep with what lights your sensuous fire. On Saturday, when the Moon balances out the Nodes, think about what you need to unplug from. What are you excited to explore? Let go of your need to plan it out, and just go with the flow. Sunday morning, when the Moon shifts into your practical sign, check in on your needs. Remember that your life is a precious gift. Commit to making the most out of it.
Virgo, the month of July begins with a shift in energy as Mars enters Taurus, and Mercury enters Cancer on the 5th. Mars will activate your sense of adventure, and your need for spirituality and philosophical journeys until August 20th. Follow your hunger for new experiences. Mercury will bring more movement into your friendships and communities until the 19th. Keep an open mind, and come closer to the ones that make you think and offer you new perspectives.
The Full Moon in Capricorn is happening on the 13th, at 2:37 pm EST, sparking your joyful and romantic nature, and your creative self-expression. It’s going to shine a light on your passions and your burning desires. What’s the thing you most want to love right now? Follow the urge to bring more structure to all of this fire that’s burning within you, so that your creative projects can thrive and manifest into something greater.
On the 17th, Venus, the planet of love, shifts into foundational Cancer until August 11th, and you’ll be receiving so much warmth from your communities. It’s a beautiful time to value those bonds that you’d like to keep cultivating over time. You may be tempted to let things slide with your friends. Don’t do this with the things that really matter. Be true to what you can and cannot put up with in your relationships.
On the 19th, Mercury shifts into Leo until August 4th, and we begin to get a feel of the season ahead. The past may come up to meet you. You may have to deal with an ex or two sliding into your DMs. Do what you have to do to clear out the inner baggage that you no longer wish to carry around. Make more spaces for silence and solitude throughout your days, to be on your own, to rest and recoup.
We also begin to go deeper into retrograde season on the 19th, as Chiron shifts direction in Aries until December 23rd. This will be a time to heal deep intimacy issues. Bring awareness to your boundaries. Make sure not to take on so much of others’ that you forget to prioritize yourself.
As Leo Season begins on the 22nd, you’ll start to go deeper into yourself. Take this time to let go of the things that you no longer want to hold on to, and to integrate the things you do. You don’t have to make this into such a conscious process. Allow your emotions to take the lead, and trust the work that’s going on behind the scene.
When the New Moon in Leo happens on the 28th, at 1:55 pm EST, is when you’ll most feel the need to slow down in order to refuel energy. Give yourself the space to explore the process you’re in, it’s deep and not easily accessible or understood through the fast moving pace of the mind. You’re close to a rebirth, so treat yourself with the nurturing care that this requires.
Also on the 28th, Jupiter will go retrograde in Aries until November 23rd. This is a time to check in on the opportunities you’re taking, to see if they’re actually helping you feel more empowered. Check in on your sexuality, to see if you’re experiencing it from a place of deep pleasure and mutual respect?

Ruling Planet: Mercury, the Planet of Communication
Where You’ll Find Them: Organizing their closet, setting up a lunch date weeks in advance, studying in a cozy library.
What They Avoid: Messy environments, gossip, nosy people.
Virgo, the sixth sign of the zodiac, is symbolized by the Virgin, but it doesn’t mean that Virgo’s a goody-two-shoes. Instead, it symbolizes the pure energy of the earthy Virgo’s soul. Virgo is the sign that wants to strip down, take away all the fluff, and go back to the basics.
The minimalist of the zodiac, many Virgos seek to live and exist in a clean, clear, stress-free environment. The ironic part of that desire is that Virgos often stress themselves out by trying to restore order to their lives. Some Virgos are contrarians, so even though they seek order, their lives may always appear to be a mess. Virgo is often focused on the small details of life that everyone else misses. They find peace in routine and structure, and they love feeling efficient, useful and in control. Expectation vs. reality is something they have to keep in mind in order to maintain their sanity.
Professionally, Virgos work well alone as well as in a team, and they often get the job done better than everyone else (but they still beat themselves up about how they could have done an even better job). Virgo is a perfectionist, and while this can lead to them creating phenomenal works of art, it can also lead to them paralyzing themselves and never putting their work out there out of fear of failure or ridicule.
Virgos may suffer from low self-esteem due to the super high standards they place on themselves. This can also lead to them being consumed with nervousness, which is why Virgo would benefit from introducing meditation into their daily routine, as well as gentle exercises and frequent time spent outdoors, simply breathing and letting go.
As friends, Virgos may at first come off as cold or unfeeling, when in reality they are just cautious of who they let into their intimate circle. If you become one of those lucky people, you’ll see the wild, untamed Virgo come out. This side of Virgo is unpredictable and exciting. Virgo isn’t always a gentle soul, watching quietly from the background. They can be reckless and fearless, going out all night and talking to new people left and right. They just have to be in a certain mood and around the right people in order to activate that side. Ultimately, Virgo seeks friends who won’t judge them and with whom they can feel comfortable being their most authentic self.
In love, Virgos are often depicted as being prudes, but once again, it’s just a self-defense mechanism. In fact, Virgo can be one of the most sexual signs of the zodiac when they merge with the right person. Virgo prefers cultivating a deep intellectual connection with someone first and then falling in love with their body. Once that happens, you can unlock a very sensual and romantic side of Virgo.
Virgo will intellectualize their feelings and put their emotions through a filter before expressing themselves, and that may sometimes make their partner feel like Virgo isn’t as emotionally attached to the relationship. That’s not necessarily the case — it’s just that Virgo has a specific way of showing love, mostly through the actions they do. They pay attention to the small things their lover needs, and while they can be nitpickey and critical of their partner, it always comes from a place of love and wanting the best for them. Virgo is all about self and mutual improvement, and they want a lover who’s unafraid of embarking on such a journey of evolution.
