Aries + Libra

Aries + Libra

Ah, opposites. Just about everything there is to know about Aries is flipped in their opposing zodiac counterpart, Libra. Where the ram represents individuality and personal perspective, Libra is like the mirror of the zodiac, functioning best in good company. Together they balance each other out, but still have many differences that can break or make the connection.

The yin to yang here is very real, but it doesn’t have to be stressful. Aries functions best alone, quickly and impulsively. Libra doesn’t. Most likely Aries will be the one taking charge in this pairing, making decisive moves and leading the duo into the sunset. If they don’t, they might feel frustrated with Libra’s passive and gentle approach to expressing (or indeed knowing) their true desires.

Still, these two can make very easy, chill and long lasting friends. The feeling of being around someone who sees things from a completely different (yet open) perspective is something both can appreciate. Here, friendly debates and deep introspective discussions are likely to be the bread and butter of keeping this connection strong.

As the sign of ‘harmony,’ Libra knows just how to keep things calm, and is generally a master of relationships –  something Aries can benefit from. Again, a yin-yang kind of team.

Taurus + Libra

Taurus + Libra

A Taurus and Libra pairing can feel like a fairytale, as these Venus-ruled comrades speak the language of beauty and lover. Together, they share excellent taste in music and food, both possessing an equal desire to enjoy the best life has to offer. Taurus has to be a little mindful of the fact that Libra isn’t super choosy about who they treat well and let in their inner circle – Taurus won’t be the only one, but that doesn’t mean they’re not loved and valued by Libra.

As an air sign, Libra can struggle with consistency in ways that come naturally to Taurus, as a fixed earth sign. Taurus can balance out Libra’s indecision, and they’d be more than happy to help Libra commit to where they’d like to eat. Libra will bring a lightness, flexibility and ease to Taurus, reminding them to see the beauty and value in everyone.

Taurus may feel inclined towards doing life at a slower pace, whereas Libra moves quickly, wanting to explore through a multi-faceted range of experiences. As a cardinal sign, Libra enjoys and benefits from new energy. To maintain a balance, it will be important for this pairing to regularly check-in with each other. It’s worth ensuring that the relationship doesn’t feel too stale, nor fast-paced, and that both parties are satisfied.

Libra can be the wind in Taurus’ sails. This balance of earth and air can certainly evoke a sense of seamlessness and unparalleled beauty. Libra will encourage Taurus to explore and have fun with their creative side – while Taurus will remind them of the peace that comes from seeing things through to the long-term. Overall, this pairing can be one for the books.

Gemini + Libra

Gemini + Libra

Together, these signs can fly, encouraging one another to own their true airy selves. Despite neither being particularly decisive or commitment driven, what they may lack in pragmatism, is made up for in a lighthearted spirit that rises above the challenges and obstacles of life.

One of the more obvious attributes these two signs share is their ability to adapt, meaning there’s no one leader in this potential dynamic. There may be a slight disconnect where Libra (ruled by Venus) is a bit of a secret classic romantic, while Gemini carries a more improvised, moment-by-moment approach.

If clashes were to arise between the pair, there could be a tendency to avoid accountability, with both signs having a strong aversion to conflict. Both are considered to be the social chameleons of the zodiac, so there’s likely to be a mirroring of each other’s behavior, for better or worse. If they keep each other’s best interest at heart at all times, the mirroring effect can manifest as a beautiful and expansive tool.

As highly socal signs, a Gemini and Libra connection is likely to be quite active, involving a lot of chit chat. Although Libra is a slightly more docile sign of peace and harmony, Gemini can bring out their wild side, encouraging them to be more open and out there. That being said, Libras get along with just about anyone, so their curiosity towards Gemini’s free spiritedness will likely have the two ending up sharing different friends, experiences and social circles.

Cancer + Libra

Cancer + Libra

Cancer and Libra is a pair with a tendency to miss out on each other. Cancer values depth in almost every way – and this includes their relationships. The water sign is notoriously guarded and can take quite a while to deem someone else as worthy enough to share their inner world. Libra, on the other hand, is the sign of the social butterfly. Ruled by Venus, this air sign governs relationships. Think: networking, socializing, parties, and a general openness to everyone who gives off good vibes.

A wounded Cancer can feel a little threatened by Libra – potentially perceiving the Air sign as being fake or shallow. Libra on the other hand,  could simultaneously see Cancer as aloof, unfriendly or even a little dull. If these two are to find their spark, it’ll involve taking the time to open up, accept and study the other. And when this does occur… what a wonderful duo this can make. When you combine Cancer’s creativity, sensitivity and empathy with Libra’s flexibility, openness and general disposition towards harmony, these two become the pair that you want at your party. The Cancer-Libra duo is one that will make everyone around them feel good, while sharing a bond that is enviable.

As mentioned, Libra loves learning about people, for that’s how they take in the world. Studying the contrasting value systems of other people can indeed be fuel for their self-expansion. Cancer’s way of thinking is strikingly different, and this will be a real pleasure for the versatility-seeking Air sign.

At the same time, Cancer’s going to love Libra’s lightness. This happy-go-lucky sign reminds the crab that life isn’t so heavy, and that drama is something that can roll right off their back. Nothing is ever too dramatic or debilitating for Libra – and this can gently encourage Cancer out of the occasional tendency to wallow in self-pity or engage in self-sabotaging behaviors.

As lovers of pleasure and beauty (both signs have feminine planetary rulers), a Cancer-Libra pairing is likely to enjoy massages, beautiful landscapes, music and sensuality. This duo will feel like one that’s fresh out of a Renaissance painting; a true joy for those around to witness.

Leo + Libra

Leo + Libra

Leo and Libra are a pair that experience immense joy together. Libra reminds Leo to stop taking things so personally, showing them the magic of life when it’s all seen a little more lightly. Libra, in return, can develop their sense of self simply through osmosis when hanging out with the proud lion. Leo is going to teach Libra the art of setting boundaries, as well as how to prioritize one’s own happiness alongside (rather than after) the happiness of others. Given that Libra can carry tendencies that lean towards self-sacrifice, this can be extremely appreciated.

Leo does have a tendency to get worked up about petty things. When the lion presents this to Libra, everything will almost seem to roll off or float away from the air sign. As the sign of peace and justice, Libra is usually the last to take things personally or read malicious intent within one’s words or actions. This Venus-ruled air sign reflects how everyone has a valid perspective, and ultimately, it’s simply hurt people who hurt people.

A wounded Leo could feel unseen, and if so, will quickly lose interest in Libra’s perceived detachment. A more elevated lion on the other hand, will learn to appreciate the alternate perspective and see it as a healthy tool for calming oneself down.

Leo and Libra are both intellectual signs who enjoy going down trails of inspiration and following their curiosity to the ends of the earth. Both are fascinated by people, and you might find them in their happy place together – watching documentaries, interviews or Hollywood roundtables.

A challenge could arise if Leo gets jealous or judgy about Libra’s more polyamorous state of enjoying other company. Libra (a sign which rules relationships) can have a million friends from different places, holding them all as equal in status.

Leo is more of a quality over quantity type and will tend to cherish a select few, that they hold in their highest circle. If Leo feels threatened by Libra’s split attention, this could be a conflict where neither party is ever truly satisfied. Fortunately, the lion can be quite magnetic to Libra, and there’s a high chance that Leo will find a place in the air sign’s heart.

Plus, because of Libra’s peacekeeping temperament, it’s unlikely that any blowouts will occur between these two. The worst that could happen is Leo reactively expressing a whole lot of frustration. But fortunately, the lion gets over its temper just as quickly as it arises.

Virgo + Libra

Virgo + Libra

Where Virgo brings pragmatism to the table, Libra (as the mirror of the zodiac), is happy to take it in and learn. Despite these signs being from two opposite elements, they both share a powerful inner drive towards living a balanced and peaceful existence.

Where Virgo likes to be of service, Libra likes to bring harmony to situations, and this makes for a pretty great team. This pair can be loved within their social circles, and their absence will likely be felt when not around. Virgo’s surprisingly chatty, or at least a pretty good listener, and Libra’s here for it. There’s a lightness, calm and ease to this kind of pairing that the pair mutually appreciate. Neither is likely to be bogged down in heavy emotions or drama, meaning a kind of consistency of friendship is felt and celebrated.

There could be potential conflict in the approach these two have to life. Virgo likes to plan and take things at a slower pace. Libra on the other hand is all about letting life take them, as they’re carried by the airy currents of the universe. When Virgo learns this is simply Libra’s way of taking in the world – rather than a lack of discipline of focus – there can be enough space created to re-establish harmony.

Both signs are (despite being quite social) healthily autonomous, meaning they can allow the other to flourish and bloom, loving them and cheering them on from a distance when need be.

Libra + Libra

Libra + Libra

Just because there’s an instance here of matching signs, it doesn’t necessarily mean that a relationship between two Libras is all fun and games. Within this dynamic, there will be a lot of shadow work to be done. If both members are up for the challenge and ready to face hidden truths about themselves, then they can enter a deliciously rewarding and intimate portal together.

One of the challenges two Libras may face will be creating a foundation solid enough to actually grow a connection. Libras tend to do this well with others – for example if an earthy Taurus is holding them accountable, or a fiery Sag is inviting them onto meaningful adventures. With another Libra, there’s the possibility that with no spark or earth, the pair could fizzle out, misconstruing each other’s intentions or values, which would lead to the connection disappearing into thin air.

For this reason, communication and time are required from both Libra to establish something concrete. Light and easy socializing with groups is the domain of Libra as an air sign, but they may want to pay equal attention to more intimate settings with each other. This is where two Libras truly get to know one another, as well as establish a sense of trust.

Once Libra partners openly communicate their desires and express what they’re looking for with this connection – either verbally or through gestures –  this relationship will become much easier to navigate. The worst thing Libras could do here is assume that they already know what each other wants, due to their many similarities.

As the Libra-Libra connection evolves over time, their greatest strength is their abilities to speak with compassion and empathy – especially when emotions are running high. Libra is the mediator, the sign of peace, justice and harmony.

Two Libras’ shared openness around others’ perspectives is the perfect remedy for when tensions escalate, or times get tough. At their essence, they’re peace-makers. This renders the intimate moments two Libras share more valuable than anything else. At its best, this Venus-ruled duo will feel as if it’s just the two of them in this world together, speaking the same beautiful language.
