Scorpio + Aquarius

When Fixed Water and Fixed Air signs come together, it can be a wild, unpredictable ride. Scorpio and Aquarius have character traits which are not traditionally compatible, but that somehow makes their relationship all the more interesting. This connection can be unpredictable and has a tendency to reach extremes.

Scorpio’s much more emotional and subjective than Aquarius is. The water sign feels everything on a profound and all-consuming level, and is known for their tremendous passion. Scorpio is also quite the intellectual thinker, but Scorpio tends to follow intuition more than reason. For this reason, Aquarius may not understand when Scorpio says that they “feel” something is right or wrong. The air sign would much rather have concrete answers or facts to draw conclusions.. Aquarius’ natural instinct is to be cerebral and rational, so it will take some getting used to and trusting the power of Scorpio intuition.

A potential downfall of a Scorpio/Aquarius pairing is that they can both be extremely stubborn. Neither sign is endowed with the gift of flexibility, particularly Scorpio. This means that when they get into debates or arguments, it can often be the case that neither wants to back down. These signs both want the final word and they don’t like to admit defeat. Both Aquarius and Scorpio can have big prides, so knowing when to be the bigger person and apologize is key to maintaining a healthy and long-lasting connection.

If a Scorpio-Aquarius pair focuses on what brings them together rather than what threatens to pull them apart, their connection will flourish and strengthen.
